The unconscionable cruelty (Marco Emanuele)

Humanity is in danger because of the unconscionable cruelty that runs the world. A cruelty that has no ethnicity, culture, religion, but that wants to take back the human condition to a prehistoric state, separating and fragmenting to dominate. A cruelty that is given by the integration of several factors:

- our inability and our lack of will to recognize any other as other of us. In fact, we consider the other person not as the part of us that we do not yet know;

- the fear that we consider inevitable and the need to build us an enemy;

- an economic crisis that, at least in Europe, seems irreversible and that has an impressive number of silent victims both among workers than among entrepreneurs. Do not have a job or the minimum conditions for survival is living without dignity, below the minimum threshold of the human;

- the global consolidation of transnational criminal organizations that, in the economic crisis, increase ther "authority" in reconfiguring national institutions to serve their own interests (illegal or terrorist).

In this context, I insist that we need more philosophy and anthropology (to understand the dynamic truth of reality) and more politics (to govern the global changes with realistic and strategic visions of living together).
